Specialist housing advice

Every year, SHARP advises around 1000 households who have a range of housing problems, including: homelessness, rent or mortgage arrears, housing benefit, relationship breakdown, domestic violence, harassment, disrepair and unsuitable housing.We provide specialist advice and case work support whch helps tp prevent people from losing their homes. The Service is for anyone who is 18 plus, single, single parents and families 

Information Service

We provide written advice and information for agencies and the general public. We have guides, Information and Fact sheets on local resources and housing rights and a reference library is open to the public (by arrangement).

Drop In Service

At SHARP we endeavour to see all the clients who come to us with a housing problem. However, the service is currently stretched due to very high demand, and clients who drop in may have to wait for an adviser to become available. We will try to give an estimate of how long you might have to wait, but will not be able to give a definite time that you will be seen.

You may prefer to make an appointment to be seen on another occasion rather than continue to wait.
